Where is Nashville's Nightlife?

A girlfriend and I are going on a business trip to Nashville next week. We will have lots of down time especially in the evenings and wanted to find out where there are good places to go dancing and such. The hotel we are staying at is the Renaissance. Any advice on where to have a little fun would be great!
