Was my Facebook hacked?

When I logged onto Facebook this morning, it said my password had been changed, but I didn't change it. I couldn't get into my Facebook. I got an email saying that my password had been changed, and that if I wasn't the one who changed it, to click the link it gave me and my password would be restored. However, when I clicked the link it said there was an error. I went back to Facebook and clicked 'Forgot password' and ended up changing it AND I changed my email. I tracked down who changed my password and he's somewhere in Nashville TN. Was my account hacked, and is it at risk? Should I deactivate my account and make anew? Please help.
