Can you fall in love within a week?

In 2008 When I was 17 I went on a carnival cruise I met alot of cool people my age and under. She was from Nashville, Tennessee and im from Hertfordshire, England but I felt a weird connection with her, After a long time of not seing her I still feel like she is the one but she is so far away that in my head it seems stupid to feel this way about her. Ive had alot of girlfriends since but I do not feel the same connection. We still talk on Facebook and everything but its annoying that she live in the US.
